OPENWORK MOBILES

Cardboard lace allows me to explore the texture, rhythm, and breath of forms. Cut and perforated, it evokes everything from plants to bones, minerals to cellular networks. An everyday object to which we pay no attention and which we discard daily, cardboard can, through a different perspective, become a work of art of extraordinary delicacy. This is what interests me about this recycled material, often considered less than noble. Its transformation gives rise to unique and singular sculptures, resembling deconstructed honeycombs that play with light.
