MEMORY OF THE DEEP

I have an instinctive relationship with matter and my great sensitivity makes me attentive to all stimuli. This ability to see what others cannot see leads me to extraordinary discoveries. I collect, transform and stage to arouse wonder and the unexpected. Above all, I like to reveal the unsuspected beauty of things and objects that we no longer see. Thus took shape my hybrid creatures. By keeping only their original structure of incredible delicacy, I continue the metamorphosis of nature. Under the clothes of light with which I adorn them, avatars are born that pique our curiosity. You will have to use your imagination to recognize their origin in each of the pieces. Pay close attention to all the details: they are extraordinary in terms of precision, proportions and symmetry. and delicacy.

MARINE VANITIES
“Each fish, in its structure and essence, wears a unique mask, a singular marine vanity. Unlike humans, whose heads follow a universal form, these aquatic creatures reveal a fascinating diversity. Their skeletons become a visual language, an intimate portrait where almost human faces are hidden: a nose, a mouth, imagined ears… By transcending their apparent banality into pieces that are both realistic and dreamlike, they become avatars from the depths, oscillating between nature and artifice, between animality and humanity. With their reliefs and mysterious features, these masks invite us to see reflections of ourselves, to discern an unsuspected humanity within their apparent strangeness. Like the abyss, where extraordinary creatures evolve in a vast and unknown space, they remind us that there is always more to discover, below as well as above, than what we perceive.”
